Grow · Free yourself · Sell when ready
Build a business that is worth more—and needs you less.
MYMM helps established owners grow profit, make the company less dependent on them, package it for sale, and—where appropriate—help see the sale through. Below are plain answers to the questions owners ask most.
Start the free business diagnosticHow do I increase the value of my business?
Buyers and lenders generally pay more for businesses with steady, documented profit, a broad customer base, repeatable systems, and a team that can run without the owner. Start by finding the single constraint holding back profit or transferability, fix it, and keep records that show the change.
How do I make my business less dependent on me?
List the decisions, relationships, and tasks only you handle. Pick the most repeated one, document the trigger, steps, owner, and definition of done, then hand it to a person or reliable tool. Repeat one dependency at a time.
When should I start exit planning?
Earlier than most owners expect. Work that makes a business easier to sell—clean financials, documented operations, reduced owner dependence—also makes it more profitable and easier to own today, so it is useful whether or not you ever sell.
How is a small business valued?
Valuations commonly triangulate several methods, such as discounted cash flow, comparable company multiples, and precedent transactions, then adjust for risk factors like owner dependence and customer concentration. A formal valuation should come from a qualified professional; MYMM does not issue valuations.
What does preparing a business for sale involve?
Typically: reliable financial statements, documented processes, clear roles, contracts and legal items in order, reduced reliance on the owner, and a credible story of how the business grows. Gaps found early are cheaper to fix than gaps found by a buyer.
Can MYMM help me sell my business?
Where it fits the owner's goals, MYMM helps package the business for sale and coordinate the process, working alongside appropriately licensed brokers, attorneys, and accountants where the law or the transaction requires them. Selling is never assumed to be the right answer.
What is a business growth consultant actually for?
To find the few changes that matter most and get them implemented and measured, rather than adding disconnected tactics. MYMM starts with a diagnosis and judges the work against a baseline.
